Field visits
In 2024, the project has its activities implemented around four crops in five areas: durian, mango, oil palm, maize upland and lowland. To analyze the situation for each group, the GETHAC Project long with the extension officers from the Thailand's Department of Agricultural Extension conducted field trips in order to collect important information of the cluster farm group's current situation, what the group needs and their challenges. After then that the innovative solutions, whether they are technology, machinery, practices or methods, will be introduced and demonstrated in the group. Thus, there will be more activities following the demonstration such as workshop, training and monitoring and evaluation.

MANGO
Phrao District, Chiang Mai province
Our mango cluster farmer group is eager to explore new opportunities for mango-based products and participate in carbon credit trading. Through our innovation network partnership, we provide the tools and support needed to address the unique challenges faced by our farmers, empowering them to grow sustainably and profitably.

MAIZE UPLAND
Na-Noi District, Nan province
Some maize farms in the northern highlands are now transitioning to higher-value crops. This group, spanning four sub-districts in Na-Noi, is gradually shifting from maize to coffee cultivation. The goal is to boost income while also reducing environmental impact, specifically by decreasing maize-burning practices.

Turmeric
Kuan-Don District, Satun province
It is the newly added target crop which will be starting its first activity in January, 2025. With health and medical benefits of curcumin compound found in turmeric, there is the demand for various processed turmeric products to supply for the hospitals and Faculty of Pharmacy in the area. Our turmeric project are involved with two cluster farms from both the production side and processing side.
